Translations (en):

“The citizens of Delphi granted Menandros the grammatikos, son of Daidalos, from Thyrreion in Acarnania and by decree of Kassopeia, and his descendants proxeny, priority in access to the oracle and legal judgements, immunity for his possessions, exemption from taxes, privileged seating in all the competitions that the city organizes and all the other privileges that are bestowed on the other proxenoi and benefactors of the city. Since, after he came to Delphi, he made an offering of his knowledge to the god and the city, giving lectures in the gymnasium in which he obtained good fame, he did not accept payment from the city, declaring that he came to Delphi for the honour of the god and the merits of the citizens of Delphi, and for all these reasons it seemed right to invite him to the common fireplace. All the honours written above have been bestowed on him. Under the archonship of Aiakidas, son of Babylos,  Orthaios, Theoxenos, Antigenes and Philagros were bouletai.”

Translations (it):

The gymnasium of Delphi made frequent use of the services offered by intellectuals, artists, poets, and teachers offering guest lectures for the children. These occasional visitors were rewarded with honours and privileges by the city. It is sometimes difficult to say whether these performances were addressed only to a juvenile audience or also to an erudite and refined public (σχολαί).

Commentary (it):
