“Gods. Good fortune. Since Xenotimos from Boeotia, the son of Theron, offered to the god an song with the chorus, it was resolved by the city of Delphi to elect Xenotimos, the son of Theron, together with his descendants, proxenos and benefactor, and it was decided that he and his descendants shall have the priority of access to the oracle, privileged seating at the festivals, immunity for their possessions, exemption from all taxes, immunity for themselves, citizenship, priority in legal judgements, and the rest of the privileges granted to other proxenoi. Under the archonship of …, … were bouletai.”

Commentary (en):
The artist honored by the city of Delphi is also attested in a catalogue of participants to the Soteria dating to the same time range, among the παῖδες χορευταί performing in the cyclic chorus (Nachtergael 1977, nr. 9 l. 27). Xenotimos obtained proxeny and other privileges for offering a choral song to the god. We are not allowed to gather if the song was a new composition of a traditional aria. The decree for this artist is ordinary as regards the privileges granted but, if we accept the integrations, they show great consideration for this music professional.
Commentary (it):
L’artista onorato dalla città di Delfi è attestato anche in un catalogo contemporaneo dei del festival dei Soteria, nella categoria dei παῖδες χορευταί che eseguivano i cori ciclici. Xenotimos ottenne la prossenia e gli altri consueti privilegi per aver offerto al dio un canto con il coro, di cui non è possibile stabilire se sia stato solo l’esecutore o anche il compositore. Il decreto per questo artista è alquanto ordinario nella parte relativa ai privilegi accordati ma -se ci si affida alle integrazioni- denota grande considerazione per l’artista prosseno.
