Translations (it):
In corona. Il popolo dei Delii.”

Translations (en):

“… to praise the historiographer Mnesiptolemos, the son of Kalliarchos, and to crown him with a wreath of laurel at the Apollonia at the moment of the choruses of the children; the sacred herald shall give this announcement in the theatre: the people of Delos crowns Mnesiptolemos from Kyme, the son of Kalliarchos, with a sacred wreath on account of his virtue, his pietas and goodwill towards the scanctuary. Access to the boule and to the demos shall be granted to him, second only to sacred matters; he and his descendants shall be proxenoi of the city and they shall have all the privileges granted to the other proxenoi. Parmenion the son of Diodotos put to the vote. In corona: The people of the Delians.”

Commentary:

The activity of Mnesiptolemos from Kyme dates to the second half of the III century BC. The historiographer was favoured by Antiochus III and wrote a history of the Syrian kings (Ath. 10. 432b-c =Hegesand., FrHGr IV 418, 23). His actions in Delos cannot be reconstructed in detail because of the lacuna in the section of the motivations of the decree.
