“Under the archonship of Agion, the son of Echephylos, Nikostratos, the son Eudoros, Xenon,
the son of Aristoboulos, Timokles, the son of Traseas, were bouletai, since… from Kyme, the
daughter of Aristokrates, χοροψάλτρια, having dwelt in Delphi and being invited by the archons and the city, she offered to the god that same day and performed for two days and obtained a good success in the ἀγών of the Pythia(?) in a way worthy of the god and our city; to good fortune, the city of Delphi resolved, in full assembly, with legitimate vote: to praise … from Kyme, the daughter of Aristokrates and to honour her with a bronze statue and the best crown of the god, as it is Delphi’s custom, and with a thousand silver drachmai. The archons shall send her xenia, the largest according to the law. Shall she and her descendants receive the proxeny from the city, along with the right of priority in access to the oracle and in court, immunity for her possessions, exemption from all taxes, privileged seating at the festivals that the city holds; may she and her descendants have the right to possess land and home and all the other privileges that belong to the other proxenoi and benefactors of the city. Shall this decree be inscribed in the most prominent place of the sanctuary and shall the archons send copies of this decree to the city of Kyme, so that it may have evidence of it.”

“Sotto l’arcontato di Agion figlio di Echephylos, essendo buleuti del primo
semestre Nikostratos figlio di Eudoros, Xenon figlio di Aristoboulos, Timokles
figlio di Traseas, poiché … da Kyme figlia di Aristokrates, χοροψάλτρια,
essendo stata a Delfi ed essendo stata richiesta dagli arconti e dalla città,
concesse al dio quello stesso giorno e diede prova di sè per due giorni ed
ottenne un buon successo all’agone dei Pythia(?) in modo degno del dio e della
nostra città: alla buona fortuna, è sembrato bene alla città di Delfi in assemblea
perfetta, con voto legittimo, di lodare … da Kyme figlia di Aristokrates e di
onorarla con una statua di bronzo e con la corona migliore del dio, secondo il
patrio costume dei Delfi e con mille dracme d’argento. Gli arconti le inviino
dei doni, i più grandi secondo la legge; siano concessi a lei e ai discendenti
da parte della città la prossenia, il diritto di precedenza nella consultazione
dell’oracolo e in giudizio, l’immunità per i propri beni, l’esenzione dal
pagamento di tutte le tasse, la proedria in tutti gli agoni che la città
bandisce; a lei e ai suoi discendenti siano riconosciuti anche il diritto di possesso di
terra e casa e tutti gli altri onori quanti appartengono anche agli altri
prosseni ed evergeti della città. Si faccia incidere questo decreto nel luogo
più in vista del santuario e gli arconti mandino le copie di questi
provvedimenti alla città di Kyme, affinchè veda.”
